  • I will review power point notes on the key terms needed for transcription
    • mRNA
    • Codon(start and stop)
    • Direction
    • promoter
  • I will also present a video animation of the transcription process
Students will be given a handout of multiple DNA templates that they must “transcribe” using the correct bases
Students will work on their assignments


Assignment:
  • Students will write a paragraph describing the process of transcription in their own words including the location of the cell that it occurs in
Students will be assessed on their accuracy in transcribing the DNA templates
